Private skateparks
make life so much easier to live in Southern California. Terry and Kevin at P-rods.
Peep
Although I doubt he will win the SOTY award anytime soon, this kid is awesome! His last trick says it all.

Work Work Work
As the ball rolls on to working towards our next video, everyone is out beating the streets and trying to get footage. As easy as this sounds you would be surprised how hard it is just to find a spot that you can warm up at these days. Here is a taste of a day in the life of a skater on a deadline.

What happens after this is top secret…

Now to the untrained eye, this would seem like a really mellow day. But when you have a team manager breathing down your neck for footage and all you want to do is go skate and maybe film a trick and shoot a photo, this can be pretty exhausting to deal with. Welcome to the world of sponsored skateboarding!!!!!

With skating getting harder and harder to do these days, many people are resorting to building their own spots. You can see it all over the place in skate videos, pros having private parks to skate during the week, so on and so forth. There is a certain filmer who goes out and builds ledge spots at abandoned sites all over southern California. These spots are alot of fun and there has been lots of good footage to come out of them. They usually only last for a short while and attract so many people that the property owners go and tear the spots apart. This is his second attempt at doing one of those spots and someone went in and tore the angle iron off the ledge. So lame. If you have some spare time, angle iron and liquid nails, go and hook this ledge up. Just ask around and you can find directions to this “secret” spot.

COVERage….
Terry has the cover of the new Thrasher this month. The interview is great. Anthony also has a full page in the new Vapors this month as well. Don’t miss either.

TAMPA
So a few weeks ago Cato, Anthony and Jacob went down to the annual Tampa Am contest. Anyone who knows about this contest will tell you that it is a place where every kid who rides a skateboard, sponsored and unsponsored, come to put it down. The level of skating going down during this weekend every year is top notch and it is always a good time. Cato blew his ankle out during the first day of practice and Jacob got a stomach virus that kept him in bed but not before they both got some good tricks off. Here’s the photos from the weekend.
